Super Moon Tonight

For everyone else trying to get good full moon snaps, there’s a “Super Moon” tonight. The moon is closer to the earth than usual (220,00 miles instead of 254,000 miles), which happens to coincide with the full moon. This means the moon will be slightly bigger and slightly brighter than usual, and means I’m all the more keen to get good full moon shots.

If you are looking to see what tonight’s cloud cover is in your area, there’s also a handy utility hosted on cleardarksky that can tell you 36 hours out what the sky conditions and cloud cover should be like.

Best of luck!
